Hello and welcome to GLEX!
GLEX stands for Gyeonggi Language EXchange. The GLEX Meetup was established in the fall of 2015 and is the second of three Meetup groups in the YOLOGLEX Network. Although GLEX is based out of Ansan City, we have members from cities all over the Gyeonggi Province as well as Seoul. With over 3,000 members, our Meetup is currently the largest in South Korea's Gyeonggi Province.
Our very first GLEXathon, which is what we call our Wednesday language exchange events by, was held on October 14th of 2015. Since then we have had over 200 GLEXathons on a weekly basis never skipping a beat. Our weekly Meetup venue is currently located in downtown Jungangdong, Ansan and there are about 30 to 40 attendees per week for our Wednesday GLEXathon.
Most of our attendees happen to be Korean because... well, YOLOGLEX and its Meetups are all located in South Korea but, we are able to have a successful and active language exchange system for our members because we also have many non-Korean members attending on a weekly basis.
If you think you might be interested in joining us, all you have to do is check out our membership rules and qualifications before signing up. Hope to see you at a GLEXathon soon.
